Michigan is blessed with our own Irish Famine Monument located in the Irish Hills. In celebration of our Irish heritage and remembering the tragedy of the Great Hunger, the AOH & LAOH of Michigan will celebrate a memorial Mass at the An Gorta Mor and the St. Josephs Shrine in the Irish Hills on US 12 is September 15th @ 2 PM. If you haven’t been to this event or seen the Shrine, I highly recommend going, it is a special event. Mass will be followed by a short ceremony and light refreshments.
